I have struggled with watching others around me underperform. I would find myself frustrated.  I would end up doing the job myself because it was more effective. I became a one man wrecking crew. I ran over people and achieved results. This created another problem where I was never able to slow down long enough to enjoy the things around me. I found everything relied upon me.

I remember asking myself one day; what if there was another way? How can I rely on others to get the job done that only I can do? That was when I realized that the problem had to be me. I had to be doing something that created an environment where people didn't flourish. It wasn't a culture issue or a work ethic issue. It was a "me" issue. In order to achieve the results I wanted I had to be the one doing it, or so I thought.

What if there was a way to create a team that could lead themselves? I discovered that "I" was the only thing preventing this from happening.
